For Module 8, break up your song practice into two parts. First, work on a song you already know for 5 minutes. Then, spend 10 minutes working on a song that uses the new Stuck 3&4 chords. This way, you'll be able to improve skills learned in Grade 1, as well as put into practice your new 3&4 stuck chords.

Now, which new song are you going to pick? That's up to you! These are all great options for practicing, but pick a song you enjoy! It's always important to play the songs you love, especially at your current guitar stage - it'll help you stay motivated. :)

9 Easy Songs For Advancing Guitar Beginners

Here 9 songs perfect to practice stuck 3&4 chords on the guitar. Some of these song lessons are pretty old! So don't mind the quality. But the material is still great to learn these awesome songs.

Wonderwall by Oasis (Simplified)

Wonderwall is THE classic song known for 3&4 chords. But the original chords and the strumming can be tricky for beginners. If you want to learn this song, it's a good idea to simplify it! Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Poison

Maybe it's just my generation, but I can't hear these chords without thinking of this song! Every Rose Has Its Thorn - Poison is a great song for familiarizing with the Stuck 3&4 chords. Most of the song uses G, C, and D Chords. You also have an Em chord coming at the bridge. You can play regular chords for that part, but it's a fun variation!

Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison

Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison is a real classic and a party favorite! The original recording doesn't use the Struck 3&4 chords. However, they work great in this song. We might check out the riff later too! ;)In the song lesson, swap out some regular chords to play the stuck 3&4 chords.

Free Fallin by Tom Petty

Free Fallin uses a standard D, the 'Big G,' and an Asus4. When you play the Asus4, remember to lift the little finger off and let that E string ring out! This tune is an awesome way to play the Big G, and I love Tom Petty!

Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life ) by Green Day

Good Riddance by Green Day is a pop-rock classic! It uses the 3&4 stuck chords, in combination with picking out notes one at a time while strumming. You'll learn more about that guitar technique later on.

Patience by Guns N Roses

An awesome 90's ballad. This song has many slash chords (the name has nothing to do with the band or guitarist!). We'll be looking at slash chords later in this grade, so it might be a good one to take an early look at!

You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC

Now we're talking! My favorite band! :) If you're a rocker and want to put your 3&4 stuck chords into action - this is the song for you! Many beginners will find it pretty tricky to follow the record - so once again, simplify it. This lesson is super old, but it still rocks!

Shallow by Lady Gaga

What a song! This Lady Gaga song uses the Struck 3&4 grips and some variations. It also has some tasty fingerstyle in it! And sorry, no lesson for this one, but it's something I'll look into.
