You Know The Drill...

This is just like last time! For the first few days, focus on watching the lessons and listening to my explanations—these will take some time. If you're eager to play, watch a video, experiment with the ideas, and dive into the full routine. Aim to complete the practical lessons within the first week.

Load up your Spotify or Apple Music playlists and listen to them as much as you can this month. I've prepared a lesson on these choices with listening notes, but listening is key.

We'll begin with this course's hands-on, practical elements, then move on to listening exercises and, finally, the historical components. If you're short on time, focus on playing and listening; you can return to the history and essay work later. You'll get the most out of this course if you can make time for all parts.

Transcribing exercises are included, separate from the daily practice suggestions. They usually occur over two or three sessions and may take a few hours. Don't jump into these right away—spend some time getting familiar with the vocabulary first; it'll make transcription easier!

Understand why I ask you to do things a certain way—I don't want you to follow along; I want you to grasp the reasons behind each method. If anything isn't clear, please ask—I'm here to help!
